Baby Wednesday

Today marks 15 weeks 4 days. I am beginning to see my lower belly poke through my snugger shirts.... I'm actually having weird dreams lately... I'll dream that my stomach is growing massively. Then I'll wake up in a panic and feel my belly. This has happened the last 2 nights... did this ever happen to any of you pregnant women?

On the upside I've had more and more energy, more desire to clean and be out and about. I'm not sure if it's because I'm feeling better or because the weather is so nice. Either way, I'll take it.

So Ryan and I find out the gender of the baby soon! I have my 16 week appointment this upcoming Monday, and will schedule my "big" ultrasound for 2 weeks after that. Makes me nervous just thinking about it!

The month of April is giving me much to look forward to.... finding out the gender, feeling little kicks, transitioning to maternity clothes.... altogether I resolve to enjoy this "golden trimester" to the fullest!

Ahhh Spring...

I just love spring. It's so much easier to get up and do things when it's bright and cheery and warm outside. This morning, for the first time in about 4 months, I had a burst of energy! Spring cleaning, here I come! It was a good feeling to complete several things on my to-do list. Especially cleaning out the pantry and dusting, sweeping and mopping (my 3 least favorite chores around the house). As a bonus, after I completed my chores, I collapsed on the couch with some delicious leftovers and an episode of I Love Lucy. Ahh, spring cleaning really pays off... I think now I'll go shopping.

Update - Week 14

Not too much is going on here. I read this on my pregnancy website "Your baby weighs almost one ounce, and is 3 to 4 inches in length. Your baby's bladder is beginning to function and, believe it or not, your baby actually begins urinating. In fact, although doctors are not really sure how or where your baby's urine is produced, they do know it is one component of the amniotic fluid, which regenerates itself every 3 to 4 hours." Whoo hoo, haha. As far as cravings, this week it has been sharp cheddar cheese. I've gone through 2 blocks.... I can also feel my tummy thickening. I would post a pic but I'm wearing my 'around the house' clothes. Maybe I'll take a pic before I go meet Ryan for dinner! Til next week...

Week 13

There really isn't much to update on this week. I'm starting to feel a little better during the day, fortunately. Sometime I lay still to see if I can feel the baby flutter, but I can't ;) I know it's too early, but I am looking forward to some of the new milestones that come with the 2nd trimester. My bump kind of comes and goes, in fact I usually wake up skinny in the morning and go to bed big at night. I wonder how much of this is my mind playing tricks on me? Oh well, it's fun to daydream!

I would post a belly pic but I don't have my camera. Perhaps next week!

Baby Wednesday

So today marks 12 1/2ish weeks. After our appointment on Monday, the reality of this baby is starting to hit me! I've also noticed a little belly bump beginning to form. It's not very visable through my shirts yet, but I know it's there! So I thought I would start documenting the bump now...

Update

So this morning Ryan & I had an appointment for a baby check up. We had been praying for this day, that we would get a good report and hear a strong little heartbeat. We did! The nurse found it almost immediately. That 'wooshing' is such an amazing sound! It brought tears to my eyes. And now with the first trimester behind me, I can't wait for all the milestones the next few months bring! Hopefully the nausea and fatigue will go away, but I am thankful every time I feel crummy because I know that means my little bean is growing in me! Belly pic to follow (hopefully) on Wednesday.
